Goldenvoice's 2016 Coachella Arts & Music Festival was the first major event to embrace and integration of VR/360 content into both of its weekends. Produced by vantage.tv, 22 pieces of 360 content were shot and delivered in a 3 day period on weekend 1, 17 artists were live streamed in 360 through YouTube 360 on weekend 2, and a select group of artists were captured with 8 180/360 cameras for release through the Coachella VR app later this year. CREATE+DESTROY's Jeff Nicholas was creative producer and director on all of it alongside vantage.tv CEO Juan Santillan, with the wonderful team at vantage.tv and some production gear support from VEHICLEvr.

2016's Lollapalooza was the first time a major festival had a VR sponsor, Samsung, and was ground zero for the first place to purchase Samsung's Gear360 camera in the US. vantage.tv produced all of the festival's official VR content including a variety of recap videos and artist performances - all directed by CREATE+DESTROY's Jeff Nicholas - and a daily multi-cam live stream from the Samsung stage to a special Samsung activation on-site and at their Space 837 in NYC.
